Tone on tone Ajrakh Red Saree

A very different Ajrakh in shades of madder red, but not quite there. The skilled craftspersons of Rajasthan have experimented with vegetable dyes to give this unusual shading between the base and the motifs in this saree. The palla has attractive bands of motifs and stripes adding to the visual interest of the saree. It comes with a very interesting printed blouse.
The base of the saree is maheshwari silk and the motifs have been hand block printed using vegetable dyes in Rajasthan.
